His carefree life-style is interrupted when he get word he ’s being hunt down . Gould has him being tracked by the NSA , while the film arrive at up a chemical group call Paladins who are dedicated to eradicating all Jumpers . In Gould ’s novel , however , Davy is the only known Jumper , so there is no Griffin at all , which itself is a major difference .

With the claim of Max Brooks ' original novel beingWorld War Z : An Oral story of the Zombie War , it ’s no surprise that the film is unlike . Brooks ' book has no main character , as it is full of interview and tarradiddle from various people who survived the war . The book was also full of societal commentary , including the mind that the outbreak was a soma of African hydrophobia and the struggle of the U.S. as the governing did n’t need to make panic during an election year .
