Sony’sVenom 3starts filming again after the SAG - AFTRA tap conclude , and Tom Hardy shares a new set photo from theMarvelmovie to lionise . Venom 3was confirmedby Sony in Spring 2022 , and start film in 2023 prior to the strike , but production pause while the actors union renegotiated their declaration . In the film , Hardy returns as Eddie Brock , joining other members of theVenom 3cast , which include newcomers to the franchise Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor .
On Instagram , Tom Hardyshared a photo of himself back in costume on the set ofVenom 3 . He ’s joined in the photo by the movie ’s music director , Kelly Marcel , who antecedently worked on the scripts forVenomandVenom : Let There Be Carnagebefore abuse into the character of conductor . Hardy ’s legend includes a center emoji and the stylized variation of the moving picture ’s unofficial title , written out as " V3NOM3 . " He ’s wear down the same football tee and Hawaiian shirt combo that were seen in previousVenom 3set photos , show he ’s back in costume as Eddie Brock .
The Marvel movies releasing in 2024 offer a range of flick experience - and some mix-up , due to the changed date of several incoming installments .
What Tom Hardy’s New Venom 3 Set Photo Reveals
Beyond Hardy ’s photo showcasing some of the fun moral force between himself and Marcel , it also offers a good look at his Eddie Brock costume . The logo on the t - shirt is more understandably seeable and further teases a joining betweenVenom 3and theVenom : Let There Be Carnagecredits sceneas well as theSpider - Man : No Way Homecredits conniption . In the former , Eddie and Venom are transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe , where they see Spider - Man on TV . Though it was expected the tantrum would lead to a face-off between Venom and Spider - Man in the MCU , theNo manner Homecredits scene saw Eddie being send back to his home universe by room of Doctor Strange ’s spell .
Since Hardy is wearing the same costume in theVenom 3set photo as he did in the cite shot where he traveled to and from the MCU , it stands to cause that part of the upcoming Sony Marvel movie will take place around the same time . What ’s unclear is whether it ’s before or after traveling to the MCU , though it makes more sense to be after . It ’s also not yet known whetherVenom 3will actually reference Eddie ’s short slip to the MCU , but it would be confusing to dress him in the same getup and not at least pay up mouth service to his multiversal adventure .
WithVenom 3now shoot again , hopefully more will be revealed about the Marvel movie and how it connects to the MCU or Sony ’s Spider - Verse — if at all . The movie is currently scheduled for spillage in a fiddling less than a year , so more will no doubt be revealed in 2024 . For now , Hardy , Marcel and theVenom 3cast and crew are back on set and working toward finish the picture show ahead of its departure next twelvemonth .
